The historic Georgian (c.1845) Inn has a true country atmosphere and is a
favourite haunt of locals, with its intimate bars and contemporary food.
Private dining rooms are available for functions or a group get together. The seasonal menu has something for everyone, light meals, seafood and of course the famous Briars steaks! All accompanied by an array of fresh local produce.
Dine on the terrace enclosed with heating for your comfort or out on the timber deck in the beautiful Highlands sun shine. On cool highland days or evenings embrace the warmth of the Inn’s many original open fires with family or friends and dine indoors. For the littlies a secure playground is adjacent to the Inn and is in close proximity to the Lodge. It’s the perfect way to spend a leisurely day or evening.
Briars is famous for our “cook your own” steak, with many cuts to choose from, all tender aged beef.
We have boutique ales on tap, such as “Old Speckled Hen and Guinness for those who enjoy their beer. Our extensive wine list including a variety of full reds to fruity crisp whites to enjoy – many poured by the glass, so any person can enjoy a good quality glass of wine with their meal.
There are three private dining rooms available. The Bong Bong Room seating up to 30 the Argyle room seating up to 24 and the Tack Room seating up to 12.
