As it is important to all of us that your function is successful, we would appreciate your attention to the following policies:
Confirmation of Booking
Confirmation of bookings must be made with a deposit of $1000.00. Following the receipt of your deposit confirming your wedding date you are agreeing to and confirming your understanding of the terms and conditions below.
Guaranteed Numbers
To ensure maximum efficiency in the preparation and execution of your function, we require a guaranteed number of guests 14 days prior to the event. This figure will be regarded as the minimum number for catering and charging.
Menu Selection
Please advise menu selection at least 14 days prior to the event, to allow us to give the necessary time and thought to your requirements. All dietary requirements must accompany the menu selection.
Time Extensions
If you wise to extend the length of your event we would be only too happy to accommodate your request where possible. There is however an additional $300.00 per hour charge. This must be arranged prior to the evening. All functions are limited to a 12 midnight close.
Terms of Payments
A booking is accepted as confirmed when a $1000.00 deposit has been forwarded to Briars Country Lodge and Inn. Full payment to be received 14 days prior to the event.
Damage
Clients will be financially responsible for any damage sustained to hotel property during their event.
Insurance
The hotel will take all necessary care but accepts no responsibility for damage or loss of items prior to or after the function. Management suggests that organizers arrange their own insurance to cover any valuable articles.
Cancellation
In the event of a cancellation a fee of $500.00 is charged. The deposit will be forfeited if canceling within six months prior to the day of the function.
Price Variations
Whilst every endeavor is made to maintain prices as originally quoted, prices are subject to alterations, particularly when bookings are made well in advance. There is a 10% surcharge on all public holidays.
Responsible Service of Alcohol
Briars Country Lodge practices Responsible Service of Alcohol, as specified in the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. The Briars reserves the right to cease the service of alcohol in the line of the above act.
Other Functions
Briars Country Lodge reserves the right to book other functions in the same room providing there is appropriate time before or after the scheduled event.
Briars Historic Inn is the perfect spot for catch up with friends and family over lunch or dinner. Originally built in 1845 as a home the Briars Inn was transformed into a licensed venue in the seventies to become the well established venue it is today. Briars Inn is famous for the “Cook Your Own” premium aged steak which comes with a delicious banquet of vegetables and salads. Traditional roasts of the day are a favourite for locals haunting the Historic Briars Inn and is the perfect way to spend Sunday's with family and friends. There is also a black board menu serving modern cuisine matched by our premium wine list and boutique ales on tap. Warm yourself by the original open fires in the Briars Historic Inn with a glass of wine or a delicious piece of hazelnut torte made by our own Chefs along with a deliciously rich hot chocolate. The Southern Highlands is the perfect winter getaway and Briars is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
